A home bar can be a breakfast bar but home bars can double up to be a home socializing bar as well.
In our modern day of drink driving laws and now the smoking ban in public places has made the home bar an asset to the family home.
I myself have a home bar built in what was our kitchen. The kitchen was a little small so we opted in having an extension to allow us a larger kitchen. The kitchen is now 7mtr x 4mtr where the old kitchen was only 3mtrs x 2.5mtrs so that was the ideal size for a home bars area. We can sit 6 people around the bar and enjoy an evening of getting together with friends or family with no restrictions or you could say not having to sit in a public house with unsavoury characters, we find the bar to be the most used room in the home, our bar was built with down lighters, extraction, hi fi sound system, under bar lighting, optics and a whole range of other accessories to make it a superb looking room and all the comforts you never get in the pub.
Our bar was built in the room by the company who manufacturer and fully fit them, they build a range of some 8 or 9 designs all are topped with a natural stone sealed tile finish, ours has two pillars this give a symmetrical mirror finish centre where we keep glass sets on polished edge plate glass shelves, then we have two matching end sections one side with optics the other holds a coffee percolator and toaster for morning breakfasts, so you see the use of the bar is very multi purpose I even use the bar as a desk when working at home as I can play a CD radio or even watch the central fitted flat screen TV so as I say it has all you could need and the natural travertine tile finish makes so easy to keep clean and looks like the wow factor, everyone loves it.

My bar was just over 6k including VAT but have saved that by now I guess in taxi savings, cheaper drink etc etc

So yes they soon have a pay back and will last for years and years.

Have some pics to post will ask admin to pop them on soon.

Home Interiors, what's this bar?

Me and mates sometime smoke and I know that it's frowned upon but we like it. Pubs are no longer allowing us smokers in there, we must go outside and brave the elements, some pubs have a little shelter but it's damn cold and windy and we're pretty much sick of it we could do with something like the european way of going to a mate's house and drinking and smoking there, plus it will be cheaper there we can drink and smoke in peace I hate this govern it stinks and gets in the way of people living the way we want to.

THis bar is it something where my mates and I can get around and drink and smoke got any pictures of what we are talking about please post

Thumbs up

Thanks for your comments, I feel the same as you do, since we had the bar installed life is so much better the only problem its always open, maybe the goverment should put some closing time hours on home bars, anyway will get some pictures on this forum very soon.

I have not visited a pub in months its great and the friends are much better as they bring the drink along with them, its unbeatable the smoking ban works if you have an home bar.

Live life tell the goverment to go and play with themselves.
