Question Geothermal Underfloor Heating.

Is geothermal energy a suitable economic proposition in the North Staffs / South Cheshire area? What are the requirements to install a underfloor heating system using geothermal energy in this area?

One concern is having the space to install such a system as it normally goes underneath your garden. Another major factor in the effectiveness of it is the current U value of the property, if it is well insulated then it may be a consideration but if, for instance, there is no cavity insulation or minimal loft insulation then the costs of inatallation will never be recovered in fuel savings but more importantly the project may not produce enough heat in the first place as what output there should be would be lost through the walls and roof!!

Hello Friends......

With rising energy costs and an ever-increasing environmental concern, the search for new energy forms is a vital concern. Geothermal systems are a means of producing energy that is both cost effective and environmentally friendly.

Thanks

i think thats only appropriate when you are near a geothermal source of energy then you can install that one so you can save some bucks.
